I have signed up for an ornament exchange. I have picked out the design that I would like to do and the thread ... however I am stuck at how to finish them. It needs to be simple, since I don't have a lot of time. Any suggestions would be most welcome. I look forward to hearing from you. Look for an update in the next few days on DH's stocking as well.
Have a great night!

Those metal finishing forms make for a nice easy finish!
Some wonderful blogs with ideas:

Good luck!
A very simple way is to cut a piece of cardboard to size, cut a piece of batting the same size, then mount the stitching to the cardboard - center everything, then wrap the fabric edges around the cardboard. Hot glue the fabric edges to the back of the carboard. For a hanger, cut a piece of ribbon, make a loop, then hot glue each end to the back of the cardboard. Cover the "ugly" backside stuff with a piece of sparkly felt.
I've used this method a couple times in the past year for ornaments for my daughter's teachers...they look nice, but didn't require a lot of finishing time or skills.
Hope this helps!
